Yuvasree Scheme is a youth welfare initiative of the Government of West Bengal, designed to provide financial assistance to the unemployed youth of the state. At present more than one lakh unemployed people of the state are availed of this facility every year. Yuvasree Project 2024
The Yuvasree Scheme was launched in 2013 under the Labor Department of West Bengal and the earlier name of the scheme was ‘Yuva Zoshyam Scheme’. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to those job seekers registered with the Employment Bank who are still unemployed, so that they can take up self-employment ventures or undergo training in employable skills. Under this scheme monthly ₹1500/- is paid directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries.
The State Budget 2024 has proposed to increase this allowance to ₹2000/- for apprentices under the Yuvasree scheme and the State Government has allocated ₹200 crore in the new financial year.
In this regard, it is also said that under this scheme, those between 18 to 40 years of age who have received training from vocal training centers of various schools or madrasas will get this allowance.
Those who have undergone special training from polytechnic colleges or those who have passed from various industrial training institutes are also eligible for this allowance.

When will the Yuvasree project money come in?
Under the Yuvasree scheme, the unemployed youth of the state get financial assistance of ₹1,500/- per month. However, no more money has been released in this scheme after last February, even after the start of the new fiscal year, many people are worried as no money has been credited to the accounts of the beneficiaries of this scheme.
However, this delay is believed to be due to the Lok Sabha polls and hence it is expected that the grant money for the last three months (March-May) may be released together in June itself.
Who is Yuvasree Project for?
The following qualifications are required to apply for Yuvasree Scheme:
- Applicant must be a resident of West Bengal and only unemployed young women can apply.
- The applicant must be registered with the Employment Bank as a ‘Job Seeker’.
- Educational qualification should be at least 8th class pass or above.
- Applicant must be between 18 to 45 years of age as on 1st April of the year of application.
- Applicant should not take loan under any self employment scheme sponsored by State or Central Government.
- Only one member from a family is eligible for assistance under this scheme.

Apply online for Yuvasree Scheme
Applications for the Yuvasree scheme are currently only available online. You can apply online by following the following steps:
- You need to go to Employment Bank Portal of State Govt.
- Click on ‘New Enrollment Job Seeker’ on the home page.
- Then after reading the ‘Terms and Condition’ you have to click on the check box and click on ‘Accept & Continue’.
- Then the ‘Job Seeker’s – New Enrolment’ form will open, where you have to fill the details like ‘Personal Information’, ‘Contact Information’, ‘Education Details’, ‘Language’, ‘Physical Measurement’, ‘Additional Information’ and so on. Must submit.
- Then you need to upload Madhyamik Admit Card or Marksheet or Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth and Aadhaar card as proof of address.
- After submission you will get Enrollment ID with which you can check the status, besides after few days the status will also be informed on your mobile via message.
Yuvasree Project Status Check
You can check Yuvasree project status online in the following ways:
- You need to go to Employment Bank portal.
- Click on ‘Yuvasree’ on the left side of the home page.
- Now you have to click on ‘VIEW STATUS FOR ENROLLMENT AND YUVASREE’ to see the status.
- Then you can check your status by filling the ‘Enrollment ID’ and ‘Security Code’.
- In the new system if your ‘Annexure-III’ form is not validated after uploading, you will have to visit the Employment Exchange office with the documents you submitted or uploaded during your application.
Yuvasree Project New List 2024

- You need to go to Employment Bank official portal.
- On the home page, click on ‘VIEW STATUS IN FINAL WAITING LIST OF YUVASREE’.
- You can see the status by writing ‘Jobseeker Id’ and ‘Security Code’ and ‘Submit’ on this page. Note, submission of ‘Annaxure -III’ form is mandatory for inclusion in the new list.
