Swami Vivekananda Scholarship is the most popular scholarship in West Bengal and lakhs of students apply for this scholarship every year. This scholarship can be applied for from admission to 11th class after secondary to admission to various professional courses after graduation and the scholarship amount is Rs.12,000/- to Rs.60,000/- per annum.
Most of the school, college or university students who applied for the scholarship in the current financial year 2023-24 have been credited. However, students who are yet to deposit money are naturally worried and this article explains in detail what their various statuses mean and what to do about it.
Swami Vivekananda Scholarship Status
Swami Vivekananda Scholarship application can be done through online portal only and following status will be seen after application.
- After applying, you will first see the ‘Application Submitted’ status.
- After a few days check the ‘Application Forwarded by HOI’ status which means that the application has been sent for verification by the head of the educational institution.
- After that it may take a few months for the next ‘Application Approved’ status to come because the application is approved only after all the verifications. In that case, applications of freshers are processed first and then those of renewals, so there is a delay in getting the money for renewals.
- ‘Application Approved (Scholarship Amount Not Disbursed Yet)’ status means that the application has been verified and approved but not disbursed due to insufficient funds. In this case, they will get the money first if the funds are provided, so there is no reason to worry.
- Students who are new but have a gap of 1-2 years or year gap in education can show the status ‘Application Rejected (Pending Approval from Department)’ before verification, but in that case they have been asked to wait for some time from Bikash Bhaban so there is nothing to worry and after verification They will either be approved or the status will change to show a new message.
- In case of renewals, the status ‘Application Rejected (HOI Verification Certificate Is Not In Order)’ may show, in which case submission of ‘Utilization Certificate’ and ‘Self Declaration Form’ is mandatory. Many of those who applied for renewal earlier got approved but those who applied later must download the certificate and form and upload it after signing the HOI. Along with the ‘Utilization Certificate’, the results of the semester should be scanned and uploaded as one file, in which case it should be ensured that the file size is within 1MB.
- The status of ‘Application Sanctioned (Scholarship Amount Disbursed)’ will be seen if the money is released or the money is credited to the account of those who have been verified and approved.
