Under the Taruner Swapn scheme, students of class XI and XII are remitted directly to their bank accounts through DBT mode. Last year i.e. 2023 in the first week of September and previous year i.e. November in 2022 this amount was paid.

This young dream project was launched to promote education and improve the standard of education in West Bengal. Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹10,000/- is being provided to the students of class 11th and 12th to purchase a tablet or smartphone so that they can study through digital medium and perform well in higher secondary and beyond.

Taruner Swapna Scheme Eligibility Criteria

• Only Class XI and XII students of the state are eligible for this scheme.

Taruner Swapna Scheme 2024 Apply

Students can apply for this scheme from their own schools. The application procedure is as follows:

• Students who are enrolled in class XI or XII can collect the application form of this scheme from the school itself.
• The form should be submitted to the school authority with school name, student’s own name, date of birth, parent’s name, Aadhaar card number, address, mobile number, e-mail ID, bank account details etc. and a passport size photograph.
• The school authorities will then upload the information online to the Bengali education portal and the documents of the applications received by the concerned officials will be verified.
• Then the list of selected students will be sent to the respective schools and the scheme will be given ₹10,000/- directly to the bank account of those students.
• The student then has to submit the bill of the smartphone or tablet purchased with the grant money to the school authority.

Taruner Swapna Scheme Check Status

The official portal of Tarun Swapna project is not yet made available for general use, only eligible and school authorities can use it, so no online status checking facility is available yet.
